What’s in the Sustainability Initiative site?
The site consists of three main parts plus a series of research projects that help feed those parts:
Featured articles, interviews, reports and posts on the sustainability home page
This is our leading content, which will take many forms and be drawn from our research and the contributions of our collaborators and community, but you can think of it as traditional management journalism aimed at illuminating freshly important ideas about what managers can do when facing sustainability-driven challenges and opportunities. There will be new features weekly.
Beyond Green—the sustainable management blog
A running look at developments and new insights emerging anywhere in the world that have important bearing on how managers and leaders should think. You’ll find new items here on every business day.
The Sustainability Initiative Resource Guide
An annotated, categorized, searchable listing of the best articles, websites, and other sources of valuable insight for managers. The Guide is a continual work in progress that will grow over time with vetted contributions from all Sustainability Initiative collaborators and eventually from the site’s participants and community.
The Sustainability Initiative research initiative
This is a series of research projects designed in answer to the question, “What do we need to learn next?” The first project, already underway, is Sustainability Implications for Business Managers: A perspective through the eyes of global thought leaders. It aims to: identify the sustainability challenges that will be the chief drivers of management change; illuminate exactly what threats and opportunities those challenges present; and explore the impediments (and solutions to them) that confront managers who are attempting to seize those opportunities. The results of this project will appear as features periodically and then as conclusive study released in 2nd Quarter ’09.
