Findings from the 2019 Data, Analytics, and AI Global Executive Study

MIT SMR Connections and SAS’s study of how organizations are advancing their use of analytics and AI shows that intentionally building a foundation of trust across three critical dimensions is key to gaining the most value from these technologies. Based on a global survey of more than 2,400 managers, executives, and analysts, and 15 interviews with executives and thought leaders, our study found that those who are applying analytics that incorporate AI-based technologies are doing the most to:

1. Foster trust in data quality,

2. Ensure that data assets will be safeguarded and customer information used with care, and

3. Develop organizational cultures that trust data-driven decisions.
