Why Some Companies Are Excluded From Comparison Rankings
Companies with disproportionately high levels of frontline employees (apparel retail, casual restaurants, fast food, general retail, grocery stores, hotels and leisure, home health care, and specialty retail) are excluded for comparisons within the values of agility, innovation, and performance.
Frontline employees tend to speak differently about these values than other employees (e.g., when a fast food team crew member refers to “moving fast” versus when a product manager in a tech organization does), making direct comparisons challenging. In addition, any company value with fewer than 15 citations is excluded from the comparisons.
